View Lanarkshire guide →Beyond the areas above we move households and businesses right across the Central Belt and further afield. If your town is not listed, call us — we almost certainly cover it.
Don't worry — we cover most of the Central Belt and can arrange long-distance moves too. Just give us a call or drop a message and we'll confirm straight away.
Most removals firms treat Glasgow as one place. It is not. A fourth-floor tenement flat in Hyndland and a four-bedroom detached in Bearsden are completely different jobs, priced on completely different things — one on stairs and parking, the other on volume.
Three things change street by street across our coverage area, and all three affect what your move costs.
Dispensations and bay suspensions in Glasgow go through Glasgow City Council. But Paisley is Renfrewshire, Rutherglen is South Lanarkshire despite bordering the city, Newton Mearns is East Renfrewshire, and Bishopbriggs is East Dunbartonshire. Different forms, different fees, different notice periods. Move between two of them and you may need an arrangement at each end. Our parking permit guide covers the detail.
Glasgow’s LEZ applies to the city centre and nowhere else. A move within the West End, Southside, East End or any of the surrounding towns is unaffected. Our fleet is compliant either way, so it is never a restriction — but it is worth confirming with any firm you approach.
A two-mile move from a top-floor tenement can cost more than a fifteen-mile move between two houses with driveways. That is why every area guide above sets out the typical property type, floor levels, stair access and parking position for that specific area — so the quote you get is the price you pay.
Whatever the property, we handle house removals, office relocations, furniture moves, piano moving, packing, storage and house clearance across all of the areas listed on this page.
We regularly run moves between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Perth, Stirling and Inverness, and south into England — Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham and London. Fuel, tolls and full insurance are included as standard. If you are moving up from England, our guide to moving to Glasgow from England covers the differences worth knowing.
