Tell us the property size, the two postcodes and your moving date. You get a fixed, all-in price in writing — usually inside 60 minutes, and always free.
Four details is all we need: property size, both postcodes and your moving date. We reply within 60 minutes with a fixed price in writing — free, with no obligation to book.
Studio, one, two, three or four-plus bedrooms. If you are between sizes, pick the larger one.
Where you are moving from and to. This tells us the distance, the parking situation and whether a permit is needed.
Firm or provisional, either is fine. Tell us if it might shift and we will hold the slot rather than cancel it.
Packing, storage, a piano, a dismantle-and-rebuild or an awkward close — anything that affects the day.
Starting prices for a local move within Greater Glasgow. Your own quote is fixed in writing once we have seen the property.
Every quote we issue is all-in for the work described. The things other firms add on the day are already in the figure: the crew and the vehicle sized to the property, blankets and protection for furniture, banisters and communal closes, dismantling and reassembly of beds and wardrobes, goods in transit and public liability insurance, the parking permit request where the address needs one, and placement in the right room rather than stacked in the hall.
Packing, packing materials and storage are quoted as clearly priced extras rather than folded into the headline figure, so you can see what each one costs and decide. See packing services and storage for those. What is never in the quote: a fuel surcharge, a stair surcharge, a weekend premium or an hourly overrun.
A quote based on bedroom count and two postcodes is accurate to roughly 15 per cent — close enough to budget against, not close enough to book against. The gap comes from what a postcode cannot tell us: whether the sofa clears the half-landing turn, whether there is a loft and a garage nobody mentioned, whether the van can get within ten metres of the door.
That is why we treat the online figure as a starting range and close it with a two-minute video walkthrough on WhatsApp. Once we have seen the rooms, the price is fixed in writing and does not move on the day. A quote that stays an estimate until the van is loaded is not really a quote.
A surveyor sitting in your living room for 40 minutes tells us no more than a video walkthrough does, and it costs you an evening and us a visit — which ends up in everybody’s prices. For larger properties, above about four bedrooms, a visit is genuinely worth it and we will offer one. For a full breakdown of what moves the price, read our Glasgow removal costs guide.
Four details, 60 seconds, and a fixed price in writing. No obligation and no sales call.
